THE THREE GOOD THINGS PRACTICE
Every evening, write down three things that went well today and explain why they happened.
This simple practice shifts attention away from threat-detection mode toward recognizing
positive events — training the brain's reticular activating system to notice opportunity
over adversity. Even on difficult days, three good things can always be found.

NEUROSCIENCE OF GRATITUDE
Gratitude practice activates the medial prefrontal cortex and anterior cingulate cortex —
regions associated with social bonding, reward processing and moral cognition. fMRI studies
show increased activity in the hypothalamus (regulating sleep, metabolism, stress) and
nucleus accumbens (dopamine release). Regular practice literally rewires neural pathways
toward positivity within 21 days.
